and I love that song too... along with "Tunnel" - which I so conveniently posted below. )I won't pretend to know what you're thinking I can't begin to know what you're going through I won't deny the pain that you're feeling But I'm gonna try and give a little hope to you Just remember what I've told you There's so much you're living for There's a light at the end of this tunnel There's a light at the end of this tunnel For you, for you There's a light at the end of this tunnel Shinin' bright at the end of this tunnel For you, for you So keep holdin' on You've got your disappointments and sorrows You ought to share the weight of that load with me Then you will find that the light of tomorrow Brings a new life for your eyes to see So remember what I've told you There's so much you're living forThere IS so much that we are living for, just gotta get the bigger picture sometimes...Ok, and because I'm cut and pasty tonight... here's "Hope you Dance"I hope you never lose your sense of wonder You get your fill to eat But always keep that hunger May you never take one single breath for granted God forbid love ever leave you empty handed I hope you still feel small When you stand by the ocean Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance I hope you dance I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance Never settle for the path of least resistance Living might mean taking chances But they're worth taking Lovin' might be a mistake But it's worth making Don't let some hell bent heart Leave you bitter When you come close to selling out Reconsider Give the heavens above More than just a passing glance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance (Time is a real and constant motion always) I hope you dance (Rolling us along) I hope you dance (Tell me who) I hope you dance (Wants to look back on their youth and wonder) (Where those years have gone) I hope you still feel small When you stand by the ocean Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance Dance I hope you dance I hope you dance (Time is a real and constant motion always) I hope you dance (Rolling us along) I hope you dance (Tell me who) (Wants to look back on their youth and wonder) I hope you dance (Where those years have gone)

ok. I'm on my way to bed, but the song that keeps taking the ZOOM off of my self-reflections

ok. I'm on my way to bed, but the song that keeps taking the ZOOM off of my self-reflections is "I hope you dance" by a country singer singing to her daughter...everytime I hear it it reminds me that there is SO MUCH more than what I may be thinking of at the moment, or concerned of.it also reminds me that for years after Sep11, my father made weekly treks down the shore so he could breathe more easily. he was 4 blocks down and in lockdown that day until 10pm and encountered much much crud into his lungs and his breathing had never again been the same. But what I found was that his breathing treks were also attempts at seeing the bigger picture. and FROM THE SONG AGAIN. "I hope you stand by the ocean, and still feel small" or something like that.I swear I'm not smoking anything, but today was the first day in probably years, that I did NOT feel that I was in survival mode.

Sarah Palin

I will NOT attack this woman's 17 yr old daughter OR her effectiveness as a parent bc I remember what I was like at 17...

AND

I stand against this woman in probably everything she stands for

BUT WHAT OFFENDS ME MOST IS

that this poor 17 yr old girl is being BETROTHED to this other boy LIKELY at the hand of her and/or his parents OR NOT...

WAY FOR THE MARRIAGE to be doomed from the get go.it enrages me that her daughter is going to get married. Why? why? why does she need to be married?
